Stacking: A Tennis Bracelet, a Bangle, and What Pairs

A tennis bracelet and a bangle are the start of almost every good stack. How to build one, which AVRA pieces sit well together, and how to keep them looking new.

A good stack looks effortless and is not. It comes down to three things: shape, weight and where each piece sits on the wrist.

Start with the line

A tennis bracelet is the base. It moves, it catches light from every angle, and it sits close to the hand. The Classic Tennis Bracelet is fine enough to wear every day. The Lumière Tennis Bracelet is for when you want the line to be the first thing someone sees.

Add structure

A bangle is the opposite: rigid, smooth, with a clean shape that frames the softer line next to it. Wear it just above the tennis bracelet, toward the forearm, so the two sit side by side instead of on top of each other.

Pairings we keep coming back to:

Complete the hand

Once the wrist is set, a hand chain ties it to the fingers. The Avra Hand Chain with the Emerald Diamond Bangle is a pairing straight from our Instagram. Add a ring on the same hand, like the Diamond Trio Band, and the whole hand reads as one look.

Metal

Most AVRA pieces come in yellow, white or rose 14k gold. One metal throughout looks polished and intentional. Mixing two works when you repeat each one at least twice, so it reads as a choice rather than an accident.

Keeping it new

Diamonds are harder than gold, so a diamond line rubbing against a gold bangle will slowly mark the bangle. Give them a few millimetres of space, take the stack off before the gym, and store each piece in its own pouch. Then clean it all together in two minutes (our care guide has the routine).

Build your stack one piece at a time. The best ones are collected, a bracelet for one year and a bangle for the next.
