Rings
We make every ring in US sizes 5 to 12, in half sizes throughout.
If you already own a ring that fits
This is the most accurate thing you can do at home. Take a ring you wear on the same finger of the same hand, lay it flat, and measure straight across the inside — edge to edge, at the widest point — in millimetres. Find that number in the Inside diameter column below.
If you don’t
Cut a strip of paper about 6 mm wide. Wrap it around the base of the finger, snug but not tight, and mark where it overlaps. Lay it flat, measure the length in millimetres, and read that off the Inside circumference column.
Then check the strip slides over your knuckle. If the knuckle is noticeably wider, measure it too and choose a size between the two numbers — the ring has to pass the knuckle and still sit without spinning.
| Size | Inside diameter | Inside circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 5½ | 16.1 mm | 50.6 mm |
| 6 | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 6½ | 16.9 mm | 53.1 mm |
| 7 | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 7½ | 17.7 mm | 55.7 mm |
| 8 | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 8½ | 18.5 mm | 58.3 mm |
| 9 | 19.0 mm | 59.5 mm |
| 9½ | 19.4 mm | 60.8 mm |
| 10 | 19.8 mm | 62.1 mm |
| 10½ | 20.2 mm | 63.4 mm |
| 11 | 20.6 mm | 64.6 mm |
| 11½ | 21.0 mm | 65.9 mm |
| 12 | 21.4 mm | 67.2 mm |
Measure a ring on your screen
Screens differ, so calibrate first. Hold any bank or ID card flat against the outline and drag the slider until the two match exactly along all four edges.

17.3 mm inside diameter
Lay your ring on the circle and step through the sizes until the inside edge of your ring sits exactly on the ring of the circle. Check the card match again if the result looks far off — the circle is only as accurate as the calibration.
Printable paper sizer
Print at 100% — no “fit to page” and no scaling. Check the black bar measures exactly 50 mm with a ruler before you cut anything out. If it doesn’t, the print scaled and the strip will lie to you.
↑ This bar must measure 50 mm.
Cut along the outline. Wrap it around the base of your finger with the numbers facing out and pull it snug. Read the size that lines up with the straight end of the strip.
- i.Measure at the end of the day. Fingers are at their smallest in the morning and in the cold, and can move by half a size over a day.
- ii.Wide bands sit tighter. For our eternity bands and the wider architectural bands, go up a half size from your usual.
- iii.Caught between two sizes? Take the larger one. A ring that turns a little is something you live with. One you can’t get off is not.
- iv.Don’t measure a cold hand, or one straight out of the gym, or on a flight. All three give you the wrong number.
Bracelets & bangles
Ours are sold by finished length — 6.5", 7", 7.5", 8" and 8.5" — not by wrist measurement. So measure your wrist first, then add for the fit you want.
Measure the wrist
Wrap a tape measure or a strip of paper around your wrist just below the wrist bone, where the bracelet will actually sit. Snug against the skin, not tight. That number is your starting point — it is not your bracelet size.
- + ½"
- Close and fittedBangles and the nameplate cuff, which are meant to hold their position rather than move.
- + ¾" to 1"
- ComfortableTennis and chain bracelets. The length most people want — it drapes and turns but doesn’t slide over the hand.
- + 1¼"
- LooseSits low on the hand and moves freely. Choose it deliberately, not by accident.
A 6¼" wrist with a tennis bracelet lands on 7". The same wrist in a bangle lands on 6.5".
One extra check for rigid bangles
Hinged and open-cuff styles close around the wrist, so the wrist measurement is the one that matters. A bangle that is rigid and doesn’t open has to pass over your hand instead: tuck your thumb into your palm, measure around the widest part of the closed hand, and take whichever of the two numbers is larger.
Necklaces
Three chain lengths, and they sit in genuinely different places.
- 16"
- At the base of the throatSits right on the collarbone. Best on an open neckline, and the length that shows a solitaire most clearly.
- 18"
- Just below the collarboneThe most forgiving of the three and the one to choose if you’re buying for someone else. It works with almost any neckline and layers under or over the other two.
- 20"
- A couple of inches lowerFalls below the collarbone, above the neckline on most tops. Good over a knit, and good if you want the pendant to sit away from the throat.
Checking it yourself
Measure around your neck where you want the chain to rest, then add two inches. A 14" neck lands on 16". If you’re layering, keep two inches between chains — 16" with 18", or 18" with 20" — so neither one disappears behind the other.
Hand chains & earrings
Nothing to choose. Our hand chains and every earring come in a single size — pick your gold and that’s the whole decision.
Still not sure
Email us before you order and we’ll work it out with you. It is a great deal easier than fixing it afterwards, and it costs you nothing.
Special sizing is not. Anything outside those ranges, and anything engraved, personalized or custom, is final sale.
