The AVRA Times

Why We Make Your Piece After You Order It

Every AVRA piece is made to order and ships in two to five weeks. Here is what happens in that time, and why we think the wait is part of the piece.

When you place an order with AVRA, your piece does not exist yet. That is on purpose.

Every piece is made to order and ships in two to five weeks. In that time it is made in your metal and your size, then hand-finished and inspected in Miami, in small batches.

What happens in those weeks

The stones are matched. On a tennis necklace or a line bracelet, every diamond sits next to its neighbor for life. They are matched for size and brilliance so the line reads as one continuous light, not a row of slightly different stones.

The piece is finished by hand. Settings are checked and tightened, edges are rounded so nothing catches on a sweater, and the gold is polished until the surface is clean enough to reflect your skin.

It is inspected before it ships. We check every setting, every clasp and every engraving against your order. If something is not right, it does not leave.

Why not keep shelves of stock?

Stock means guessing. Guessing which metal you will want, which length, which size, and then either discounting what does not sell or melting it down. Making to order means every piece we make already belongs to someone, and the care goes into that one.

It also means engraving does not add time. A name necklace is made for its name from the start.

You get tracking the moment it ships, and every order is insured on its way to you.

Two to five weeks is the honest window. We would rather give you a date we can keep than one that just sounds fast.
