✦ Choose Your Diamond Cut

• Marquise. The longest silhouette of the five. Pointed at both ends, it lies along the finger and stretches the whole hand. This is the dramatic one, and the one people notice from across a table.
• Round Brilliant. Fifty-eight facets engineered for maximum light return, which is a technical way of saying it throws the most sparkle. If you want the cut that looks right on every hand in every light, it is this one.
• Emerald. A step cut, so instead of scattering light it reflects it back in broad flashes. Cooler, calmer and more architectural than a brilliant. Emerald cuts hide nothing, which is why clarity matters most here.
• Oval. Brilliant faceting in an elongated outline. It gives you the fire of a round with the lengthening effect of a marquise, and it is the most forgiving shape on a shorter finger.
• Baguette. Clean rectangle, sharp corners, no fuss. The most graphic of the five and the one that looks least like traditional fine jewellery, which is the point.

If you cannot decide, start with the cut you would want if you only ever owned one. The others stack onto it later.

A flush setting is the reason this ring stacks. There are no prongs to catch on the ring beside it, nothing to snag on a sweater, and no raised profile to stop two bands sitting tight against each other.

✦ Metal & Construction

• Solid 14k gold, in yellow or white. Not plated, not filled, not vermeil.
• Sizes 5 through 12, in half sizes throughout.
• All five cuts are made to the same band width and profile, so any combination sits flush with no gaps and no stepping between rings.
• The bezel is closed by hand after the stone is seated, which is why the seam between gold and diamond reads as one surface rather than a rim sitting on top of one.
• The interior is rounded and polished for all-day wear, including under another band.

✦ How to Wear It

Alone, on the index or middle finger, is the version that reads most modern. One carat set flush is understated on purpose. It shows up when your hand moves and disappears when it does not.

For stacking, contrast the geometry rather than repeating it. Marquise against baguette works because a point beside a rectangle creates tension. Emerald against baguette gives you two step cuts and a very clean, very graphic hand. Round against oval is the softest pairing of the five. If you already own the Ridged Gold, put a Mosaic on either side of it and let the texture sit between the stones.

• Chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds. Same carbon structure, same 10 on the Mohs scale, same fire.
• Graded on the same 4Cs by the same standards, which is how five different cuts can be held to matching EF and VS. When you stack them, any drift in colour between two bands would be visible immediately.

✦ Care & Longevity

• Solid 14k gold does not tarnish or fade.
• Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. A bezel has no underside to reach, so this ring cleans faster than any prong-set piece you own.
• Wipe along the seam where gold meets diamond. That thin line is where soap film settles and flattens the light.
• Take it off before lifting. Pressure is what pushes a band out of round, and an out-of-round band no longer stacks flush.
• Off before swimming. Chlorine attacks the alloys in gold over time.
• Store stacked rings separately rather than pressed together, so the polished faces do not scuff one another.
