Pear Diamond Hand Chain
Bracelets
14K Solid Gold, Lab-Grown Diamond$1,500.00
Wrist to finger. One unbroken line.
A hand chain is what you put on when the outfit is already finished and you still want one more idea. This one runs a fine 14k rose gold chain from a bracelet at the wrist to a ring loop at the finger, with a pavé bar laid across the back of the hand and two pear-cut diamonds floating free beside it. Then it moves. Reach for a glass, sign something, talk with your hands, and the light travels across the one part of you that is never still.
✦ Diamond Specifications
- Stones: A pavé bar of lab-grown diamonds, with two prong-set pear-cut lab-grown diamonds floating alongside it
- Clarity: VS+, eye-clean
- Color: EF+, near-colorless and bright white
- Cut: Excellent
- Carat weight: 0.6 to 0.7 ctw
- Setting: Bead-set pavé along the bar, with the pears held on open prongs so light reaches them from beneath
Two kinds of light in one small piece. The pavé bar reads as a continuous shimmer, dozens of tiny stones each angled slightly differently so the line stays lit no matter how your hand turns. The pears do the opposite. They point, they hang free, and they flash bright and singular as they swing. Set against warm rose gold, near-colorless stones look whiter than they do against yellow. That contrast is the whole reason this piece punches above its carat weight.
✦ Metal & Construction
- Solid 14k rose gold throughout. Not plated, not filled, not vermeil.
- Rose gold gets its color from copper in the alloy, which means the tone runs all the way through the metal. It cannot wear off, and it will not fade back to yellow in a year.
- Three parts, one piece: a fine chain bracelet at the wrist, the diamond bar spanning the back of the hand, and a ring loop at the finger. Nothing to assemble and nothing to line up.
- The chain is deliberately fine. On the back of the hand, heavier links sit rigid and look like hardware. This one drapes.
- Adjustable fit, so you can set the drape rather than accept it.
- Closed with a lobster claw at the wrist, which is the closure you can manage one-handed. That matters on a piece you fasten with the hand that is already wearing it.
✦ How to Wear It
Put the ring loop on first, then fasten the bracelet, then shake your hand out once and let the chain find its own position. Aim for the bar sitting roughly centered across the back of the hand with a little slack in the chain. Pulled taut it looks like a fitting error and it will tug every time you spread your fingers. A soft curve is correct.
Wear it on the hand you gesture with. That is not a detail, it is the entire point of a hand chain. Keep that hand otherwise quiet, or add one slim band on a different finger, nothing more. Rose gold mixes better than people expect: a yellow gold watch on the opposite wrist reads intentional, not accidental. If you already own another AVRA hand chain, the Astra or the Toi et Moi, do not double up on the same hand. Alternate them instead and let each one have its day.
✦ Why Lab-Grown Diamonds
- Chemically and optically identical to mined diamonds. Same carbon lattice, same 10 on the Mohs scale, same fire.
- Graded against the same 4Cs by the same gemological standards, which is how we can hold every stone to EF colour and VS clarity.
- Traceable origin. You know exactly where each diamond came from.
- Meaningfully better value, and in a pavé piece that value goes somewhere specific. A row of small stones is many stones to match, and matching is usually where the price of a piece like this quietly doubles.
✦ Perfect For
- Owning something with a point of view rather than something safe.
- Dinners, openings and evenings where you would rather not wear a necklace.
- Photographs and video, since your hands are in frame far more often than your neck is.
- The woman who already has the studs and the tennis bracelet and wants the piece nobody else in the room is wearing.
- Marking a year that went the way you planned it, in a way only you have to understand.
✦ Care & Longevity
- Solid 14k rose gold will not tarnish or fade. It only needs cleaning.
- Hands live harder than necks. Take it off for washing up, gardening, the gym and anything that involves gripping a bar or a handle.
- Hand sanitizer and dish soap are the real enemies here. Both leave a film that settles into the pavé and flattens the whole line at once.
- Warm water, mild soap and a soft toothbrush, worked along the bar and around the base of each pear. Rinse fully and dry flat.
- Take it off before swimming and showering. Chlorine attacks the alloys in gold.
- Store it flat in your AVRA box rather than dropped into a dish, so the fine chain does not kink or tangle.
