Crafted in solid 14k gold and set with natural diamonds, the Signature Name Necklace makes personalization genuinely fine. Elegant script lettering, every letter pavé set, so the name reads as light before it reads as letters.

It is the only piece in the AVRA collection made with natural diamonds, and that was deliberate. Your name is the one thing you will wear for the rest of your life. This is the version built to be inherited.

• Stone: Natural diamonds, pavé set along the full length of the script
• Clarity: VS+, eye-clean
• Color: EF+, near-colorless and bright white
• Cut: Excellent
• Carat weight: Scales with your name. Every letter is set edge to edge, so a longer name carries more stones and more total weight.
• Setting: Micro pavé, with beads raised from the gold itself so the metal between stones stays almost invisible.

On pavé this fine, color consistency is what you actually see. Matching hundreds of small stones so none of them reads warmer than its neighbour is the difficult part, and it is where the cost of this piece goes.

✦ Metal & Construction

• Solid 14k gold throughout, in yellow or white. Not plated, not filled, not vermeil.
• Set on a fine cable chain in 16", 18" or 20".
• Made from 3 to 12 letters, with the script joined letter to letter so the name holds its shape as one piece rather than swinging apart.
• Closed with a lobster claw.
• The pavé is set after the letterforms are shaped, which is why the stones follow the curve of the script instead of running straight across it.

✦ How to Wear It

At 16" it sits above most necklines and stays the only thing in view, which is how a diamond name necklace should be worn the first hundred times.

At 18" or 20" it layers cleanly under a plain gold chain or over a fine knit. Keep whatever you layer with plain. Pavé script and a second diamond piece at the same height fight each other. If you want more diamonds in the look, put them on your ears or your wrist and let the neckline stay singular.

✦ Care & Longevity

• Solid 14k gold will not tarnish or fade. Pavé simply needs cleaning more often than a single stone does.
• Warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft toothbrush. Work the brush along the script from behind as well as in front, because a good part of the light returns from underneath the stones.
• Skip ultrasonic cleaners at home. On micro pavé they can loosen beads over time.
• On last, off first. Perfume, hairspray and sunscreen dull pavé faster than anything else you own.
• Store it flat so the chain does not knot around the lettering.

Every Signature Name Necklace is built from scratch in your name, your letter count, your chain length and your gold color, then set stone by stone. Allow 4 to 5 weeks for your necklace to arrive. It is often sooner when the chain and gold you chose are already in stock.

• Pricing by letter count: $1,750 covers names of up to 6 letters. Each letter beyond that adds $150. An 8 letter name is $2,050, a 12 letter name is $2,650.
